Journey / ride / travel / trip (1º, 2º ESO)

Journey (noun) is a general word describing travel from one place to another. A journey often involves a long distance.

Ride (noun) is used to talk about a short period spent in some kind of vehicle which follows a fixed course or route, such as a roller coaster or a cable car, and which is done for amusement.

Travel (verb) is a verb which means to make a journey or move to one place to another.

Trip (noun) is used to talk about going to a place, usually for a short time and then returning to the place you started.

Niagara Falls (1º ESO)

The Niagara Falls is a famous group of water fallsb on the Niagara River between the USA and Canada. The largest waterfall is 790 metres wide and 53 metres high. If the winter is particularly long and cold, the ice forms an "ice bridge" across the river. Niagara Falls can be especilly beautiful at night because they are lit by numerous spotlights with different shades of colour.
