NEW POST UP (eTwinning project)

Los alumnos de 4º de ESO están finalizando un proyecto europeo (New Post UP) que comenzó el curso pasado a través de la plataforma eTwinning con alumnos de similar edad de San Remo (Italia). La finalidad de dicho proyecto es que los alumnos tengan la posibilidad de utilizar la lengua inglesa en situaciones lo más cercanas posible a su vida real.
Se han realizado varias actividades a lo largo del curso anterior y actual para darse a conocer tanto ellos como su entorno.
Como actividad final se creará un Blog en el que grupos formados por alumnos de diferentes nacionalidades tratarán varios temas de su interés: moda, deportes, viajes, comida, etc. Así mismo visitarán y comentarán las entradas en el Blog de cada uno de los grupos.
El proyecto, según los alumnos ha sido muy positivo con mucha participación y les ha permitido estar en contacto continuo con la lengua inglesa a la vez que conocer las costumbres de ese país.
Debajo encontrareis algunas fotografías que representan las diferentes actividades que se han desarrollado en común a lo largo del proyecto.

Journey / ride / travel / trip (1º, 2º ESO)

Journey (noun) is a general word describing travel from one place to another. A journey often involves a long distance.

Ride (noun) is used to talk about a short period spent in some kind of vehicle which follows a fixed course or route, such as a roller coaster or a cable car, and which is done for amusement.

Travel (verb) is a verb which means to make a journey or move to one place to another.

Trip (noun) is used to talk about going to a place, usually for a short time and then returning to the place you started.

 

Niagara Falls (1º ESO)

The Niagara Falls is a famous group of water fallsb on the Niagara River between the USA and Canada. The largest waterfall is 790 metres wide and 53 metres high. If the winter is particularly long and cold, the ice forms an "ice bridge" across the river. Niagara Falls can be especilly beautiful at night because they are lit by numerous spotlights with different shades of colour.
